The Apollo connector.
Prospect and company search and enrichment. Connect once with your own key. Every agent your team runs reads the same 6 tools under one permission model.
How access is governed
6
Read tools
Open by default. They run when called, and every call is logged with the endpoint, tool and capability.
0
Write tools
Apollo exposes no write tools. Nothing it does mutates external state.
0
Destructive tools
Apollo defines no destructive tools. Nothing here deletes data.
Defaults come from the capability on each tool definition, and an admin can tighten or open any tool individually. The endpoint's capability ceiling can only tighten that policy. An endpoint scoped to read never surfaces a write tool.
Every Apollo tool
6 tools, named as the agent sees them.
- search_peopleread
Search Apollo's people database for prospects by title, seniority, location, employee count or company domain. This is the top-of-funnel prospecting tool. Returns person ids and organization_ids — pass a person's name+domain to enrich_person for a verified email, or the organization_id domain to enrich_organization. Consumes Apollo credits, so keep per_page small.
- search_organizationsread
Search Apollo's company database by keyword, headcount, location or technology used. Use for account research and target-list building. Returns organization ids and primary_domains; feed a domain to enrich_organization for the full firmographic profile, or to search_people(q_organization_domains_list) to find people there.
- enrich_personread
Enrich ONE person into a full profile (verified email, title, seniority, LinkedIn, employment history). Identify them with whatever you have: email is most reliable, else name + domain, else linkedin_url. Use after search_people, or directly when someone pastes a name and company. Consumes an Apollo credit per call.
- enrich_organizationread
Enrich ONE company by domain into a full firmographic profile: headcount, revenue, industry, founded year, funding, tech stack and description. Use for pre-call account research. Pass the bare domain ("stripe.com"), not a full URL.
- list_sequencesread
List the workspace's email sequences (Apollo calls them emailer campaigns) with their names, status and aggregate stats. Use to see what outbound is running and how it is performing. Read-only — this connector cannot create sequences or enrol anyone in one.
- search_contactsread
Search contacts already saved in THIS Apollo workspace — as opposed to search_people, which searches Apollo's whole external database. Use this to answer "is this person already in our CRM" and to see owner and stage. Does not consume enrichment credits.
Use it from any agent
The same Apollo tools reach Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop or your own agent through one MCP endpoint. The endpoint is scoped to a group, the token is issued per group and revocable from the dashboard, and an allowed-tool list and capability ceiling limit what it exposes. Reads run. Gated writes refuse unless an admin opens them. Destructive tools remain unavailable over MCP.

Setup
- 01
Create a Apollo API Key in your Apollo account (where to find it). The key is yours: Notara stores it encrypted and never sees a bill.
- 02
Paste it into the Notara dashboard. Credentials can be scoped to the workspace or to one person.
- 03
The tools appear with their capability defaults already set. Tighten or open any of them per tool, then invite the agent to a channel or issue an MCP token.
More in research

Use Notara directly, or bring us the workflow that needs to be redesigned and built.
